On and Off -Sale Basic Seminars

On-Sale For the employees of licensed establishments where liquor is sold and consumed on the premises or "on-sale," such as restaurants, bars, clubs and hotels. This is a four-hour class geared towards bartenders and servers. The course covers current Arizona Liquor Law (ARS Title 4), liability concerns and procedures to deal with problem situations.

Off-Sale - Designed for cashiers, clerks and anyone selling beverage alcohol products in their original, sealed containers to be consumed off the premises or "off-sale." This includes convenience, grocery and liquor stores (series #9 and #10 licenses). A two-hour class specific to package liquor sales, elements of the law and the skills required to recognize potential underage purchases.

Management Seminars

This 2 hour class is mandated by the Department of Liquor Licenses and Control for new owners, agents and managers. Inherent in the license holder agreement is the responsibility to know and comply with Arizona Liquor Laws. Licensees are also required to ensure that their employees are educated in the rules and regulations that govern the industry. This program presents the key legal essentials and is designed to help management look at business practices with the eye of a risk assessor to avoid pitfalls and citations. The basic class is a prerequisite and must be taken prior to management training.
